When it comes to hole-in-the-wall espresso bars nothing can really beat an old retro 1950s service station-turned coffee joint, right near the beach. Which is why we’re all over this spot in Caloundra.
Surfside Espresso comes to us from the people behind White Picket Fence, arguably one of the Sunshine Coast’s best brunch spots.
Sitting pretty on a main corner in Kings Beach, this tiny coffee shop is about three-metres by two-metres and has been licked with a fresh coat of mint green paint. It houses only a coffee machine and a serving station, plus a few stools scattered out the front. But don’t be fooled. What this place lacks in size it makes up for in great coffee, served quickly and conveniently.
