It’s always big news when two iconic Sydney venues come together in a grand slam of food, drinks, and vibes. This year, the first dynamic duo at work includes that of no-frills rock 'n’ roll burger joint Bondi Tony’s and the beachside corner haunt Bondi Beach Public Bar (BBPB).
Yep, the iconic Tony is taking over BBPB with his famed greasy burgers, sweet margaritas, and booking in some of his favourite music artists because you know, why not? Tony himself actually came up with the idea of a rock ‘n’ roll burger joint in Bondi some six years ago, having worked in the music business industry for well over a decade. He’s worked with a pretty stellar line-up of musicians too including The Jezabels, Gang of Youths, The Delta Riggs, Dune Rats, Lime Cordiale, and a heap more.
The entire rock ‘n’ roll takeover is set to take place on Monday 25 January from 12pm, with entry donations on the day going towards a greater cause. If you haven’t heard of Support Act, it’s Australia’s only charity delivering crisis relief services to artists, crews, and other music workers in the music industry, and your entry donation on the day will help raise funds for the charity.
As for the artist line up, you can expect the king of club bangers Example to be throwing down a live performance on the day and DJ sets from Brian Taranto, Cassette, Christian Lomans, Danny Clayton, Delta Riggs, Jeremy Kay, Kirin J, Callinan, Lillith, and Lord Fascinator.
Doors open at 12pm but you can book across three sessions from 3pm - 6pm, 6pm - 9pm, and 9pm until late. For more details, head here.
