Cruise On Over To Sydney’s First Ever Gin Drive Thru

By Sammy Preston

Two bottled cocktails.

No doubt, Sydney is a city of gin-lovers. This city is home to some standout distilleries and gin-specific bars—one of which has this week re-opened as a—wait for it—gin drive-thru.

Yes, Gin Lane, the Chippendale gin bar known for its enormous collection of gin and its breathtaking, cinematic gin cocktails (this Breaking Bad-inspired concoction has been one of our faves), has re-launched its cocktail drive-thru for lockdown 2.0 (or 3.0?) in Sydney.

This time around Gin Lane has buddied up with sister venue Cartel, which means you'll be able to pick up some tequila drinks too—like a classic margarita, for example.

Basically, you'll be able to drive by and pick up a range of pre-bottled cocktails to take home and sip at your leisure (obviously don't drink and drive guys).

On the drive-thru menu are two G&T variations—the Gin Lane Premium G&T with lavender bitters and Fever Tree aromatic tonic, and a Mediterranean G&T too. There are also classic cocktails like a Southside, an Aviation, a Negroni, and Gin Lane's take on the Espresso Martini too. From Cartel, you'll find a classic margarita made with candied lime and sea salt.
