No doubt, Sydney is a gin lover’s paradise. We’re a city stacked with dedicated gin bars, dishing out some seriously tasty gin martinis, Negronis and straight-up G&T’s. We’re also home to some world-class distilleries—like Manly Spirits, Poor Toms and Archie Rose.
Well, it seems our friends in Europe have taken note of our gin cred, as it’s just been announced that Junipalooza, London’s massive gin tasting festival, is coming to Sydney in 2020.
Junipalooza has been kicking around for seven years, with events in London, Hamburg and Melbourne. At the first-ever Sydney event, you can expect to encounter more than 100 gins, from over 30 Australian and international distillers. Your ticket includes a keepsake tasting glass and the opportunity to sample as much gin as you’d like—neat, or with a splash of tonic (and responsibly, of course).
Junipalooza is all about gin makers, so you’ll have the opportunity to get your gin geek on and quiz distillers while you taste. And each of the gins on show will be stocked at a special on-site shop, so you’ll be able to bring your favourite bottle (or bottles) home with you.
The line-up of distillers is yet to be released, but you can keep up to date right here.
What: Junipalooza Sydney
When: Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 August, 2020
For now, satisfy your gin thirst at one of Sydney's absolute best gin bars.
