Why It’s Called Helloworld Stadium
The new stadium’s naming rights have been secured by Helloworld Travel, one of Australia’s largest travel companies with a network of more than 2,000 independent travel agents.
The five-year agreement marks the company’s first-ever sponsorship of a major sporting venue.
The partnership was announced alongside Venues NSW and the NSW Government as part of a broader push to position Penrith as a major destination for sport and entertainment.
What The New Penrith Stadium Will Look Like
The redeveloped stadium is being designed to dramatically improve the fan experience.
In sports mode, the venue will seat 25,000 spectators, expanding to 30,000 for concerts and large-scale events.
The design focuses heavily on bringing fans closer to the action, with steeper grandstands and upgraded technology throughout the venue.
Key features include:
- Steeper grandstands to create a more immersive viewing experience
- New videoboards and upgraded sound systems
- Expanded food and beverage outlets
- More bathrooms and improved accessibility
- Modern corporate and hospitality facilities
- Enhanced safety and security measures
- Four gender-neutral changerooms supporting both men’s and women’s sport
Importantly for Panthers fans, the stadium will retain the iconic grass hills that have long been part of the Penrith game-day atmosphere.
The final design has also been shaped by feedback from more than 3,000 fans and community members since consultation began in 2022.
When Helloworld Stadium Will Open
Construction is already underway, with the new stadium currently scheduled to open in 2027.
The project is expected to create around 500 jobs during construction, with more than 650 ongoing roles supported once the venue begins hosting events.
When completed, Helloworld Stadium will replace the original Penrith Park, which first opened in 1967 and has been home to the Penrith Panthers for decades.
Once operational, the venue will host:
- Penrith Panthers NRL and NRLW matches
- Major concerts and touring live music acts
- Motocross and large sporting events
- Community events and entertainment
The redevelopment aims to future-proof the precinct for growing demand as Western Sydney continues to expand.
What It Means For Western Sydney
The stadium redevelopment forms part of the NSW Government’s broader investment in Western Sydney infrastructure.
The announcement also comes as other major projects reshape the region—including the upcoming Western Sydney International Airport, which is expected to bring more visitors, events and economic activity into the area.
For Penrith locals, the new stadium isn’t just a sports venue. It’s set to become a year-round entertainment hub designed to attract fans, concerts and major events to Western Sydney for decades to come.
