There are few foodie masterclasses able to make an impression, but Omnom’s cheesemaking classes are in a calibre of their own. They’re the type of workshops that will see you drinking bottomless bubbles or endless rosé while taking home close to an entire kilo of delicious cheese.
Classes take place in Omnom Cheese’s Rosebery HQ and you’ll find a brilliant handful to choose from—all perfect for absolute cheese novices, a spin on date night, or a boozy and delicious catch-up with your best mates. Depending on which class you pick, sessions range from $99 to $129 per person and go anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
There are workshops dedicated to bubbles, burrata, and bocconcini where you’ll learn all about the basics of milk selection using store-bought milk, acidification, coagulation, and how to turn the curds into the creamy good stuff. The halloumi class will take you through the entire process of milk treatment and renneting so you can go forth and make your own at home.
Elsewhere, there are sessions filled with Aperol spritzes, ricotta, and ravioli-making from scratch and even a vegan cheesemaking class too.
