When Is The Sydney Royal Easter Show 2026?
The Sydney Royal Easter Show runs from Thursday 2 April to Monday 13 April 2026 at Sydney Showground, Sydney Olympic Park.
Across nearly two weeks, visitors can explore carnival rides, animal experiences, competitions, live shows and food markets throughout the day, before the Show wraps up each night with a fireworks display at 8.50pm.
Major evening highlights include the Imagine a Horse show, the K9 Superwall Challenge, freestyle motocross stunts and the nightly launch of human cannonball David “The Bullet” Smith.
What To See At The Sydney Royal Easter Show
One of the biggest drawcards of the Easter Show is the mix of agriculture, entertainment and food experiences.
At Jamison Station, kids can get hands-on with farm life by milking a cow, riding mini tractors and exploring a hay-bale maze. Nearby, the Farmyard Nursery lets visitors pat and feed animals like piglets, goats and calves, while Outback Pony Rides introduce younger visitors to horse riding.
Agricultural competitions are another Show highlight. The famous woodchopping championships, often dubbed the “Wimbledon of Woodchop,” see around 150 competitors battle it out across multiple disciplines, while other events include rabbit obstacle races, dog agility competitions and the Best in Show pedigree dog competition on 12 April.
Inside the Woolworths Fresh Food Dome, the colourful District Exhibits showcase sculptural displays made entirely from Australian produce. You can also try classic Show snacks like Country Women’s Association scones, chip-on-a-stick, fairy floss and barbecue feasts.
New for 2026 is the Yum Yum Noodle Market, serving Asian street food favourites from stalls like Dumpling King, Tuk Tuk Thai and Wolf of Wok Street, alongside cooking experiences like the Hot Cross Bun Workshop by HEARTHE and daily Oyster Masterclasses.
Carnival rides and showbags round out the experience. Family rides like carousels and dodgem cars sit alongside thrill rides like The Joker, while hundreds of themed showbags span confectionery, toys, fashion and lifestyle brands.
