Soak Bathhouse
Bondi Junction

Soak Bathhouse isn’t your typical silent day spa—it’s a social wellness space built for connection, conversation, and a more communal kind of unwind.
Expect a livelier vibe, especially from Friday to Sunday, as people settle in, catch up, and soak side by side. If you’re after total silence and meditation, this might not be your spot.
Grab your bathers and prepare to settle into some seriously temping spots: we're talking warm magnesium pools heated to 34 degrees, hot pools (38 degrees), and cold plunges (a chilly 12.5 degrees), plus dry cedarwood saunas, aromatic steam rooms, and infrared saunas. You can also book in for private experiences, including massage, LED facials, and meditation sessions.
Signature treatment: Most peeps opt for the 90-minute soak session where they move between the communal mineral baths, hot spas, cold plunge, steam room and traditional dry cedar sauna at their leisure.
Nature’s Energy
Glebe

Voted Australia’s Best Day Spa and Oceania’s Best Day Spa at the 2025 World Spa Awards for the fourth consecutive year, Nature’s Energy is a seriously tempting spot for a lengthy pamper sesh. The Glebe spa—the largest of its three Sydney locations—has indoor and outdoor zones that just call out for you to get all zen.
If silence and stillness is your best friend, this place is your best bet. It’s a “whisper-only” location where you get a complimentary towel and locker, plus herbal teas, Celtic hydration salts, and Australian sea salt scrub for that pre-treatment shower.
A 60-minute Sunrise or 90-minute standard session gives you full access to all facilities—three infrared and two traditional saunas, steam room, hot spa, ice baths and pail showers— and unlike other bathhouses, infrared saunas and medical-grade red light therapy are included for no extra charge. Win!
Signature treatment: The Nature’s Energy Signature Massage is a full-body reset designed to melt away tension and stress. It combines acupressure, light-to-medium pressure, warm compresses, and hot stones to relax muscles and improve circulation. Gentle stretching is also included to boost flexibility, leaving both body and mind deeply refreshed.
Auriga Spa At Capella Sydney
CBD

Housed within the grand heritage-listed Department of Education building, Capella Sydney set a new standard of luxury for the city when it opened in 2023. Naturally, the hotel spa hits all the right notes too. The sixth-floor health and wellness precinct features a picturesque 20-metre heated swimming pool, Technogym-equipped gymnasium, sauna, steam facilities, and experiential showers. While you'll find an Auriga Spa at every Capella hotel, local elements are woven in to create a unique experience—like skincare products by Byron Bay brand Synthesis Organics.
Auriga Spa At Capella Sydney is open to hotel and local guests and here are four treatment rooms, set up for solo sessions or couples. Signature treatments are inspired by the phases of the moon, focusing on renewal, reflection, and reset.
Wellness Journeys, on the other hand, include options like Connect To Country, using stones sourced with permission from Indigenous Elders across Mookaite, Kakadu, and the Pilbara. Boldly Alchemy treatments lean into exfoliation, detox masks, and enzyme wraps, while bespoke facials use precious oils, bio-actives, and LED light therapy to balance and refresh the skin.
Signature treatment: Try the "Full Moon Cleanse and Grounding" treatment for some deep reflection and refocus. The treatment includes a chakra align back massage, express bio-active refresh facial, scalp and foot massage, and a head and heart hara alignment.
Crown Spa
Barangaroo

Imagine the most luxurious spa day—then times that by ten. That's pretty much what you can expect at Crown Sydney's stunning spa. You'll find this dreamy destination on the sixth floor of the diamond-like Crown Sydney tower in Barangaroo. Designed by Blainey North, Crown Spa takes its inspiration from the surrounding Sydney vistas, like the deep blues of Sydney Harbour and the coral, violet, and lemonade pink sunsets that colour the sky to the west of the tower at dusk.
Inside the spa, you'll find a completely private maze of treatment rooms encircling one of two 37-degree "Vitality Pools". There are two signature "Indulgence Suites", which are large private rooms fitted with enormous spa baths for the ultimate R&R during, before, and after your treatment. There are two "Experience Showers", as well as infrared saunas, steam rooms, manicure and pedicure stations, and yoga and meditation spaces.
As for the treatments available, naturally, Crown Spa uses only the most luxurious of skincare lines. You'll find facials using the classic caviar-doting La Prairie, and Australian ayurvedic and aromatherapy-based brand, Subtle Energies.
Signature treatment: The Blissful Marma Massage is a one-hour reset designed to ease stress and tension from the get-go. Expect long, flowing movements paired with targeted therapeutic techniques at varying pressure, alongside marma therapy and chakra balancing to help realign your energy and leave you properly relaxed.
Venustus
Paddington
Venustus is one of Sydney's most beloved wellness destinations for those in the know (we're looking at you, Nicole Kidman). It's not a hotel spa, but its treatments rival some of the best in the world. Led by founder Jeannie Bourke, your experience at Venustus goes far beyond skin healing and relaxation.
Bourke and her super-talented team have combined a unique recipe of wellness practices to create something truly transcendental. Practices like reiki, crystal healing, aromatherapy, and more are combined, along with Bourke's own Venustus brand of organic skincare, to meet you and your energy where you are for a bespoke treatment unlike any other.
Signature treatment: We could spend all day spruiking the ritualistic experiences on offer at Venustus, but if we had to pick a single treatment, it would be Venustus' famous six-handed massage. Three therapists perform a personalised massage in sync, choreographed by Bourke. Simply put, there is nothing quite like it.
38° The Bathhouse
Bondi Beach
Image credit: 38° The Bathhouse | Instagram
New name. New location. What was previously Slow House Bondi is now 38° The Bathhouse, a dreamy Campbell Parade spot spruiked as being "where magnesium, heat and community meet". At the centre of it all is the 38 degree magnesium pool—and from there you can expect a heap of equally blissful thermal therapies—ice baths, a traditional sauna, steam room, infrared suites, and a salt station, plus massage and advanced facials.
Roll on up to reception and you'll receive your complimentary sauna towel to sit on. There are still and sparkling filtered water taps on site—just bring your own non-glass water bottle, and you can grab still bottled water or coconut water to sip on too.
Head over there on Mondays, and at 10.30am you can slink into the complimentary Sound Session. It runs for 90 minutes and is designed as an immersive reset—helping to restore your mind, body, and nervous system.
Signature treatment: Fancy a facial? The Bespoke 60 Minute Signature Glow is a tailored, skin-renewing treatment designed around your goals. It wraps up with a relaxing hand and arm massage while medical-grade red light LED gets to work—boosting collagen and softening fine lines.
SpaQ
CBD
Housed within the palazzo-style Gowings Building on Market Street in the Sydney CBD, the quirky QT Sydney is a firm favourite in Sydney's luxury hotel scene. SpaQ is the hotel's day spa—and it's packed with the same punchy personality as the hotel too.
What we love most about SpaQ is its Art Deco-style treatment rooms—brass, tiles, and stained glass features give the look of a 1920s-era apothecary, which is a pretty unique look for a hotel spa.
Here, facial treatments use results-driven Skeyndor or Mukti Organic products, with antiaging, dermal peel, men's, and fully customisable facials all available. There's a Hamman steam room to use before or after your treatment, and an on-theme Sweeney Todd-esque barbershop too for men's haircuts, shaves, and beard trims.
Signature treatment: We love the Royal Renewal, a 150-minute head-to-toe reset. It starts with a Vitamin Sea Salt Glow using Australian and Himalayan salts, followed by an Equilibrium Massage with nutrient-rich oils. Next up is a rose quartz facial gua sha with a botanical elixir to lift and boost radiance, finishing with a scalp massage that leaves you relaxed, rebalanced, and glowing.
The Darling Spa
Pyrmont
Image credit: The Darling Spa | Website
Located within The Darling Hotel at The Star, The Darling Spa is one of Sydney's more traditional and luxurious day spa experiences. Think classic facials, hot stone massages, and top to toe treatment packages perfect for a weekend staycation or holiday in the city.
Dimly lit with hints of shimmering gold throughout, a trip to The Darling Spa includes access to its tearoom, relaxation room, jacuzzi, and heated Moroccan Hammam chamber. Facial treatments are paired with high performance luxury Australian skincare label BABOR and Retreatment Botanics, and there are treatments tailored specifically to men too, including a hydro cellular men's facial.
Signature treatment: Treat yourself to the Erde Balance, a 90-minute, full-body refresh that covers exfoliation, massage, and facial in one. It starts with a full body peel, followed by an express relaxation massage using a firming body cream to hydrate, smooth, and support elasticity. Then your face gets a glow-up too, courtesy of the Healthy Glow Express Facial, designed to hydrate and strengthen the skin barrier.
