Here’s What To Expect At The International In Martin Place

By – who will need to try a bite of every dish at the table.

The International is a three-part dining destination from the hospitality group behind Sydney favourites Shell House and The Dolphin.

The Point* Group has revealed that The International will comprise three venues, taking over the former site of Botswana Butchery: The Grill, The Wine Bar and The Panorama Bar.

The Wine Bar and The Panorama Bar will open to guests from 4pm on Thursday 7 November, with The Grill opening on the following Thursday 14 November, with bookings open now for all three spaces. Across each offering, the ‘international’ concept will be interpreted to present a menu unbound by a specific global cuisine, instead focusing on quality and dining experience.

“Our approach will be simple: if it’s fun, delicious and exciting, it’s on the menu,” says The Point* Group owner Brett Robinson.

“The International is not just a restaurant; it will be a social and culinary destination where the only rule is that the food, the wine and the hand-crafted beverages must be delicious and of exceptional quality and the service dedicated, inspired and authentic.”

Now Open: The Panorama Bar

The Panorama Bar sits on the top level of The International, with a snack and small plates menu by culinary director Joel Bickford and executive chef Danny Corbett.

There’s fun cocktails including frozen faves, curved balconies, fire pits surrounded by lounges, and room for having a dance to regular DJ programming.

Now Open: The Wine Bar

The Wine Bar has three unique spaces itself: a piazza-style courtyard for all-day dining and drinks, a 40-seat wine bar overlooking the kitchen and pizza oven, and a luxe 60-seat dining room.

The menu by executive chef Danny Corbett and extensive wine list is available throughout the space.

Coming Soon: The Grill

The Grill will celebrate the best-of-the-best ingredients and restaurant service in a laid-back, fine-dining setting, with a four-seat walnut bar for champagne and martinis, custom mid-century-inspired furniture and tri-colour marble flooring.

“The Grill is going to be the ultimate place to celebrate those really special life moments,” says group culinary director Joel Bickford, “however we also want it to be a go-to for those seeking to enjoy the everyday pleasure of exceptional food and wine in a luxurious indoor-outdoor dining room.”
