Cult favourite A.P Bakery is now wielding its flour powers in the Sydney CBD, serving fluffy focaccia, seasonal sweet and savoury pastries, loaded toasties and baguettes, cookies, cakes, and whole loaves from a hole-in-the-wall bakery on Barrack Street.

There's also porchetta rolls, salt and vinegar hash browns, and customisable pizza slices topped with the likes of stracciatella and prosciutto.

The artisan bakehouse sources the best Aussie grains to deliver a flavour-packed baked treat, and is an absolute mainstay on our list of the best bakeries in Sydney.

The weekday-only location is tiny and, as with other A.P Bakery locations, the queues can be long, but there are some welcome tables and chairs out the front so you can get stuck in to your bakery haul ASAP.

A.P Place joins A.P House in Surry Hills' Paramount House, A.P Town in Newtown, A.P Bakery's residency at Wildflower Brewing in Marrickville, and its weekly stall at the Carriageworks Farmers Market.
