Restauranteur and industry veteran Barry McDonald might be the original founder of Fratelli Fresh, but Bar Grazie is a very different sort of Italian.
It's pure romance and classic American-Italian dishes with polished, modern touches from head chef Jarrard Martin (ex-Rockpool).
Romance comes by way of the George Garrow-designed wood-panelled dining room, the lamp-lit tables, white tablecloths, and Ana Page (AKA Miss Martini) cocktail list.
Begin with housemade focaccia and San Daniele prosciutto with autumn fruit (when we visit, it's fresh fig). Then, try the rich parmesan risotto, squid ink pasta, or rigatoni with wagyu beef bolognese sauce. A perfect date night spot.
