The verdict

Freda's is a relaxed spot for a drink and bite to eat. The 100-year-old converted warehouse offers spacious dining with a Mediterranean tapas slash modern-Australian menu.

They've just upped the ante even further, with the launch of Moon Pizza, a spot where simple and delicious pizza, made from only the freshest season produce is king. Our top picks are the melenzane (eggplant and ricotta), the not so Napoli (confit garlic, olives and fried capers) and the patate (potato, truffled ricotta and rosemary).

True to form, Freda's has just launched a damn good all-natural wine list curated by Paddington's 10 William Street sommelier Andrew Ainsworth. Expect boutique Australian tipples, all handcrafted and handpicked. Well, we don't need any more convincing.

Fun fact: Freda's owner, Dave Abran, also deejays and so the music is as good as the delicious food and beverages on offer.
