Green Moustache

North Sydney has scored itself a luxury greenhouse-style rooftop restaurant and bar. Created by the brains behind Art House and The Treehouse Hotel, Green Moustache has set up shop with the aim of injecting a smack of life and a lot of green back into the area. 

Complete with sweeping views of North Sydney, the garden oasis was curated and designed by an expert team: architect John Cochrane, interior designer Ruth Harris, graphic designer Melanie Topham and resident horticulturist of The Grounds of Alexandria, Erin Martin have all worked to make Green Moustache an otherworldy spot.

The breath-taking space feels far away from the business district below, giving off tropical rainforest vacation vibes with floor to ceiling glass windows, lush palms, ceiling plants, wicker chairs and tiled tabletops. 

With a team of hospitality heavyweights running the kitchen and bar, you know that you’re in for a great feed at Green Moustache too. David Maisley (formerly at Pilu and Hotel Palisade) and Pete Fitzsimmons (formerly Chin Chin) are dishing up seasonally sourced modern Australian style meals. 

Dinner looks like fresh blue-swimmer crab pasta with chili lemon and parmesan or a 100-day aged grain-fed scotch fillet with crispy duck fat potatoes.

Be sure to leave room for dessert as ex-Nomad pastry chef has curated a stack of sweet treats to tempt you with. The coconut and lime panna cotta with pomegranate granita is silky and smooth with fresh hints of citrus. For a slightly more decadent option, try the indulgent chocolate fondant complete with a perfectly gooey centre and roasted nut brittle.
