Since opening back in 2020, Jimmy's Falafel in Merivale's Ivy Precinct has become a cult favourite for its falafel, mezze, and fluffy pita crafted by head chef Simon Zalloua.
In March 2023, Jimmy's Falafel moved into a bigger space next to Bar Totti's and MuMu.
The dine-in menu is perfect for big groups with Jimmy's Famous Lamb, served with vermicelli-bulgur pilaf, and cucumber yoghurt, designed to share. There's also whole chicken, whole flounder, and Wagyu Kusbasi steak. For dessert, it's baklava or a ricotta-filled crêpe, topped with figs, pistachio, and honey.
Meanwhile, the takeaway menu lists off a number of packed pitas. "The Original" comes loaded with falafel, hummus, parsley, cucumber, tomato, sumac onions, pickles, and tahini. "The Late Night Edition" is done as a wrap, filled with lamb kafta, parsley, sumac onions, tomato, Aleppo pepper, lemon, and toum.
Jimmy's Falafel is open for lunch, dinner, and takeaway until 2am on weekends, making it a perfect pit stop to soak up the booze on a night out.
