Joining Merivale’s buzzing ivy precinct, Oti’ is a by-the-slice pizza joint and sandwich shop from Totti’s executive chef Mike Eggert.

The CBD concept tucked next to Bar Totti’s focuses on Roman-style pizza and hand-stretched schiacciata sandwiches topped and stuffed with classic Italian ingredients including prosciutto, salami and mortadella, a selection of eight cheeses, and plenty of veggie offerings.

“A pizza by the slice and Italian sandwich shop is a passion project that Justin (Hemmes) and I had been talking about for years, so it’s surreal that we’re finally doing it," says Eggert.

“We love the vibe of Jimmy’s Falafel and how people line up down George Street for the takeaway offering, so we hope to have a similar success with Oti’.”

Daily specials (announced on Instagram) and seasonal creations sit on the menu alongside Oti’s satisfying core creations, with a 12am close time on Thursday–Saturday guaranteed to hit the spot for late-night crowds.

Oti’ will open at 11am on Wednesday 10 May, with half-price pizza and sandwiches all day to celebrate.
