Following a wildly successful run in Sydney last year, the photography gods over at Fuji Film are bringing their epic Creator Summit day festival to Melbourne’s Timber Yard–and not tryin’ to spoil anything over here, but it’s looking pretty damn good.
Creator Summit: Powered by FujiFilm is a one-day film and storytelling extravaganza that’s basically tailor-made for anyone who's dreamed of either a) making a documentary about, say, chasing snow leopards in the Himalayas, b) travelling to Greece for a living or c) becoming a scroll-stopping storyteller whose ability to craft visual stories has your audience in a chokehold. The options, though, are endless.

Ultimately, this is a day out for anyone who wants to learn about film and storytelling, all while wandering through an interactive, ‘choose your own adventure’ festival space that’s overflowing with talks and workshops from some of the most influential and successful people in the photography, news and content creation industries.
Kicking off at 10am on Saturday, May 9, 2026, this full day rolodex of cool, film-focused chats and immersive experiences will feature a stellar line-up of talks from the major likes of; viral podcasters, Toni Rodge, Ryan Jon and Jord Hammond, The Daily Aus youth media co-founders, Zara Seidler and Sam Koslowski and Pinterest Australia’s head of content partnerships, Jace Molan.
You can also expect to get awed by BTS stories from award-winning Nat Geo, TIME and New York Times documentary photographer Dr Michael Coyne, soak up some practical photo wisdom from leading surf photographer Russell Ord, and listen to vibrantly viral IG creator Tara Chandra and hugely popular travel creator @helloemilie talk about how to stay relevant in a rapidly changing algorithm.
Talks aside, you’re also invited to get your hands dirty.

Cool workshops will be happening all day, including going behind the lens to film a real music video (live performance and lighting included), to getting hands-on in a colourful cocktail shoot. You’ll also be able to frolic through a stylised Parisian café set, where fashion, theatrics and photography all collide, and join award-winning action and motorsports photographer Andrew Hall as he teaches you how to become a boss at hectic speed, movement and action photography and a whole lot more.

Because Fuji is hosting this whole affair, you can also expect to get up close and personal to some world-class camera action. From practical sessions led by experts on how you can get the most out of your Fuji camera gear, to exclusive event-day deals and free sensor cleans, Fuji’s latest products will all be taking centre stage–plus, all tickets give you an epic goodie bag that’s valued at a whopping $250.
Tickets are currently open for business, with early bird bookings going for just $45 a pop. You can take a squiz at the full line-up and schedule, and book yourself in online now.
