What Will The Weather In Perth Be Like Over Easter 2026?
Chocolate, sunshine and a subtle sea breeze—Perth’s 2026 Easter long weekend is shaping up to be an absolute pearler.
As per tradition, Perth stretched out its warm weather well into autumn, gifting us 30°C days, clear skies and a seamlessly endless run of sunshine. That was, of course, until last weekend’s absolute doozy, when Cyclone Narelle came storming into the state, bringing a burst of heavy rains and strong winds that briefly broke the pattern.
The good news is that the interruption looks to be short-lived. Hopping into Easter long weekend, conditions are settling back into something far more typical for this time of year: mild, mostly clear and far less volatile.
Perth’s Easter Weekend Weather Forecast
In addition to a healthy haul of choccy, it looks like the Easter bunny is bringing a good dose of Vitamin D to our sunny state for Easter. Early signals from the Bureau of Meteorology point to a stable, sunshine-heavy stretch, with little in the way of disruptive weather across the long weekend.
-
Good Friday (April 3): Highs around 28°C, overnight lows near 17°C. Extended spells of sunshine expected.
-
Easter Saturday (April 4): Slightly cooler at 25°C, lows of 17°C. Sunny periods throughout the day.
-
Easter Sunday (April 5): Highs hovering around 25°C, lows near 16°C. Intervals of sunshine throughout the day.
-
Easter Monday (April 6): Highs at 25°C, lows near 16°C. Intervals of sunshine throughout the day.
Winds are likely to follow a familiar pattern, with lighter mornings and sea breezes developing into the afternoon, particularly along the coast. Coastal spots will cool off earlier once the breeze hits, while inland suburbs may stay warmer well into the evening. There’s no expectation for precipitation at this stage, with rain not expected to feature all Easter.
What Past Years Tell Us
Early April is a sweet spot for Perth weather, with the extreme heat of summer easing and overnight temperatures becoming far more moderate. Daytime averages sit in the mid 20s, humidity is lower, and conditions are generally comfortable for longer periods of time outdoors (or indoors sans aircon).
UV levels, while lower than the peak summer months, remain high enough to warrant slipping, slopping and slapping, particularly during the middle of the day. In other words: deceptively mild, but the sun still packs a punch. Rainfall tends to increase later in autumn, but early April remains relatively dry.
How To Make The Most Of It
With four days of largely settled weather on the cards, this is your green light to comfortably commit to those picnic parties, outdoor Easter egg hunts and backyard barbecues.
Friday’s warmer 28°C peak is prime for a proper beach morning before the sea breeze rolls in, while Saturday through Monday’s mid-20s stretch is tailor made for all-day hangs and long, lazy lunches. If your plans roll into the evening, a light jacket will go a long way, and while it might not be peak summer anymore, SPF is still non-negotiable, especially if you’re clocking a full day outdoors.
All signs point to an easygoing, sun-drenched Easter long weekend, exactly the kind Perth does best.
