Lorde fans are eating well this year. Not only are we getting a new album in a few weeks, but the New Zealand pop star has also announced a world tour that's set to kick off in September. Although when she'll be visiting Australia is a different story.
"I am going on tour in support of my new album, Virgin. Very proud and excited to be bringing my most talented friends in support," the musician wrote in a recent Instagram post, "Come see what’s under the skin."
This tour announcement comes off the back of Lorde unveiling her long-awaited fourth album, Virgin, which is set to drop on Friday, 27 June. The album's synth-pop lead single, What Was That, was released a week earlier following a cancelled appearance at Washington Square Park, which was shut down by the New York City police due to a lack of official permits and an overwhelming amount of fans crowding the location.

When is Lorde touring Australia and New Zealand?
At the time of writing, Lorde hasn't announced any tour dates for Australia or New Zealand. So far, the Ultrasound World Tour is visiting North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, with the final announced date taking place on 9 December in Stockholm, Sweden.
Don't despair just yet, though. The musician has since commented "Just the beginning" on an Instagram post from Oceania Today about her skipping New Zealand. Hopefully, an Australian and New Zealand leg will be announced over the coming months, but looking at the current tour dates, we probably won't see Lorde visiting our shores until sometime in 2026.
Could we potentially see her headlining the 2026 edition of Laneway Festival, which would mark Lorde's first time performing there since 2014? We'll just have to wait and see, but here's hoping we find out sooner rather than later.
We'll update this article as more information becomes available.
