Start World Mental Health Day Right With This Virtual Breathwork And Yoga Session

By – who always has time to go to breakfast, no matter how busy she is.

It’s World Mental Health Day on 10 October, which for a lot of us—especially those in lockdown right now—could be just the encouragement we need to take a breath, reset and focus on ourselves and our mental wellbeing. And if you want to start the day feeling extra grounded, online wellness platform Wanderlust is inviting everyone across Australia to join them for a virtual mindful morning, featuring breathwork, yoga and a reflection workshop.

Kicking off at 9am AEST, the virtual RISE by Wanderlust experience will start with a grounding breathwork session with Wanderlust’s spiritual guide and meditation coach, Tami Roos. Next up, Masha Gorodilova, the founder of Happy Melon Studios, will guide virtual attendees through a 40-minute Vinyasa yoga flow sequence suitable for all levels of yogi, to get your body in tune with your mind.

Finally, acclaimed bibliotherapist Dr Susan McLaine will conclude the event with a powerful reflection workshop that celebrates introspection and nourishes the soul. Basically, the session covers mind, body and spirit, so you’ll be ready to meet the day, and the rest of the week.

“At Wanderlust, we believe self-care benefits more than just the individual, but also society at large—an important task considering the current mental health of the nation,” said Wanderlust’s CEO, Suzanne Morrison.

Tickets for the session start at $29, which includes four weeks of supporting WanderlustTV content to keep you inspired long after the event is over. You can also opt for the Premium Ticket option, which includes a Wanderlust journal, tote bag and wholefood blend product for $59.
