Be excited! The doors have opened to the CBD’s newest one-stop spot for the best pies, eats and caffeine kicks in town!

The Lorne St. Larder has arrived and is changing the Auckland foodie game. Little bro to the beloved Teed St. Larder, the new digs feature a hip and relaxed fit-out. It’s the perfect spot to get away from the daily hustle. Brought to us by Brian Lenders and Owen Jin, the duo has spared no expense in bringing a little slice of the good stuff to central Auckland.

“We wanted to bring something different to the city,” says Brian. “Our style of cooking is different to a lot of the cafes out there.”

Featuring a small but tasty menu, Lorne St. Larder’s got you covered for breakfast, lunch and even a cabinet filled to the brim for those on the go.

A winner in our books, you’re going to want to check out their amazing French toast. Featuring a generous helping served alongside mascarpone, chocolate soil, drizzled and drenched in hazelnut butter and affectionately decorated with florals—it’s a toast-terrific masterpiece!

For those not on a cheat day, there’s no need to miss out! The quinoa bircher features bulgar wheat, orange and macadamia and is so gorgeous you’re sure to be the food envy of the squad.

Serving up the iconic trio at Teed St. Brian and Owen have spread the pie-love and are also serving the famous gems hot fresh and delectable as ever on Lorne St. Our top pie pick is the chicken. Perfect for escaping those winter blues, this bad boy features white wine, thyme and leek, along with top secret herbs and spices flown in from South Africa. You won’t be disappointed.

Brian’s top pick is the indulgent lamb salad. Consisting of tender roast lamb, beetroot wild rice, almonds, dukkha and a sensational coriander yoghurt, it’s almost too gorgeous to eat. Or, opt for the chicken—coated warm chicken alongside couscous, halloumi, pine nuts and harissa this winner is not one you want to miss.

Fuelled by 3 Beans coffee, you can count on an epic caffeine hit every time. With top quality roasts and an expert barista team, there’s no better way to ensure an awesome start to your day!

Sure to have you sneak out the office a little earlier for lunch or dashing down in between lectures, the Lorne St. Larder is your new CBD hub for all things foodtastic.
