Pretty sushi is our kinda sushi. When &Sushi opened in Newmarket last year, hundreds flocked to try their beautiful edible creations and take snaps for the ‘gram. And now, &Sushi has found another home in none other than City Works Depot.
Moving into where Weirdough & Tuck used to live, &Sushi’s owner Jeff Kim and head chef Jay Oh have transformed the place into a stunning sushi den. Just like their Newmarket store, a long glass cabinet is lined with sushi that looks almost (emphasis on the almost) too pretty to eat. It’s tucked away around the corner from Best Ugly Bagels, but drenched in natural light and dotted with pot plants, creating a relaxed environment to enjoy lunch or pick up a box of sushi on the run.
&Sushi continue to serve up gluten-free, vegan and free range morsels and other Japanese delights. We’re suckers for their teriyaki salmon donburi and udon noodle salads—two items we’ll indulge in on the reg now there’s an outpost closer to work!
So, if you’re looking for an inner-city lunch spot or your &Sushi fix without venturing into Newmarket, you know where to go. Chopsticks at the ready.
