Like beer? (Stupid question, of course you do). Like exercising? Err, yeah, sure. Okay, so while we're not a huge fan of hitting the pavement on the regs, we do love to bend the elbow every now and again for a frosty.
Beer and running, though? Together? Look, its not the prettiest thought that comes to mind—but gee does it sound like fun! Brace yourselves, because an ugly Christmas sweater edition of the Brisbane Beer Run is coming to a pavement near you on Sunday 11 December.
To answer a few rather obvious questions, you simply run and drink beer at five select pit-stops along the way (we're not a bunch of animals, we're a civilised bunch). Simple—and hilarious to boot, especially if you join in with the theme and don a festive t-shirt for the occasion. We don't reccomend an actual ugly Christmas sweater—it is a Queensland summer, after all.
You'll start in Newstead with the first stop at Newstead Brewing before running to three other breweries on your way to stumbling over the finish line at The Charming Squire.
Everyone who takes part will receive a goody bag as part of their ticket, as well as an ice cold frothy ale in each brewery, a Beer Run bib, and, of course, a number and your medal. These events usually sell out, so you might want to grab those tickets quick
