For anyone who thinks bar crawls that you have to walk for are just way too much effort, we have news for you. Just launched by River To Bay, you can now jump on a boat to get to from brewery to brewery, thanks to a hop-on-hop-off river cruise sailing up and down the Brisbane River.
Officially stopping at three different locations between the city and Murrarie (though you can request to be picked up at any public pontoon along the river for some extra dosh), the cruise starts at Northshore Harbour, before cruising up to Sea Legs Brewing in Kangaroo Point.
Hope you’ve still got your sea legs after your first drink on the boat, because then it’s around the bend in the river to Black Hops in East Brisbane—a brewery that would normally be well and truly off the route if you were walking. Finally, over in Murrarie and right on the river is Brewdog (still no walking, phew!).
If you're on one of the Saturday night cruises, you don't even have to go as Northshore—you can opt to conveniently start and finish at Felons Brewing down at Howards Smith Wharves instead. Sounds like out kind of night.
Tickets start at $109pp, including stops at three breweries, two drinks on the boat and discounts at all the bars. Or you can upgrade to the all-inclusive option for $169pp, which will get you two drinks on the boat, a tasting paddle at two breweries, plus lunch or dinner and a pint at another brewery. The cruises are operating every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with both day and night options available, you can find out more and book your ride here.
