Pick Up The Phone, These Brisbane Restaurants Are All Now Dishing Up Takeaway Feeds

A flaky golden spanakopita spiraled on a plate with a lemon wedge on top.

There’s no denying it, coronavirus/COVID-19, whatever you want to call it, has us all shook. But before you go stockpiling minced meat and eggs (seriously, please stop), it’s important to take a moment to think about not just ourselves but people and businesses that will be affected by mass closures and loss of livelihoods.

It’s important to us that all of Brisbane’s fantastic venues know that we're on their side. Right now is a pretty worrying time to be a small restaurant, cafe or bar in Brisbane, so we’ll continue to champion the independent businesses across town in any way we can.

Uber Eats and Deliveroo are both launching contact free delivery, so if you’re stuck in quarantine you can still get your favourite takeaway without having to resort to wearing a full body containment suit. But a heap of restaurants around town are also offering up their own dining at home experience, so whether you want fine dining or just your favourite local spot in the isolation of your lounge room, here’s who to call (after sanitising your phone). Some are even offering delivery to help keep their staff employed—check with individual venues for options.
