Is there a more universally loved breakfast dish than the decadent eggs benedict? We think not.
In fact, this dish is so darn popular we’ve decided to update our Eggs Benny list for the second half of the year, because the people need to know where to get an epic, hollandaise-smothered breakfast. So let’s do this thing: here’s our round up of Brisbane’s best eggs benny.
Side Street Kitchen
Side Street Kitchen, in Moorooka, whips up a mean eggs benny. Their hollandaise is perfectly tart with a generous citrus kick while also rich and buttery. Basically, they’ve nailed it. The eggs are always cooked to an oozy, runny perfection too.
The Brass Barrel
The eggs benny at The Brass Barrel in Rosalie ain’t your usual eggs benny. No, this dish comes complete with Sriracha hollandaise and braised pork on a two cheese and spinach scone. Shut up and take our money!
Collective Bar & Kitchen’s eggs benny doesn’t follow the rules either. This one comes with potato rostis (yes, plural!), house made hollandaise, cherry vine tomatoes, mashed avo’, goats curd and bacon. It’s like the eggs benny version of a big breakfast, and we’re obsessed.
Little Clive sure knows how to make food look beautiful. Their eggs benny is no egg-ception. Puns aside, this is a 10/10 eggs benny. Complete with your choice of mushrooms, bacon, pulled pork (O.M.G) or salmon, this is a classic eggs benny combo’ you can’t beat.
We like a place that refers to the dish by its casual nickname. Perks Kitchen does just that. The hollandaise is perfectly creamy and the bacon has the ideal amount of crispiness. A top-notch Brisbane eggs benny.
