Lovers of all things wagyu, angus and buttermilk chicken, ready your stomachs—your PT isn’t going to like this. Brisbane is getting a festival dedicated to BURGERS! Making its third Brisbane appearance, Burger Fest is an ode to the (not so) humble burg. Stacks on.
This almightly event is being held at The Triffid: dedicating the entirety of Stratton Street to Brisbane’s best burger joints for one blessed day only. With very serious contenders such as Ze Pickle, Miss Kay’s, Ben's Burgers, 5 Boroughs, Lucky Egg, Moo Free Burgers for all the vegan burger lovers ot there and The Triffid’s own burgers hitting the grill, you can try one or try them all and announce a greasy favourite to anyone who'll listen.
Each burger venue will be flipping one of their menu classics, along with a Burger Fest exclusive, so you'd better head along on Saturday 17 August from 11am if you don't want to be left drooling over all the epic creations from Instagram in the days following.
Local beers will also be on hand for consumption, including Aussie legends Stone & Wood and Green Beacon, with live entertainment, a beer pong arena, food hall and live art installations. Need we even mention a burger eating competition? And no, we're not just talking about the seven stacked creations that you'll find us doing our best to finish on the day.
Tickets to the event are just $5, and you can grab them here. Prepare to arrive hungry, but to definitely not leave that way.
