A Pop-Up Rosé Garden Bar Is Hitting Customs House For Spring

By – who always has time to go to breakfast, no matter how busy she is.

Time to break out the florals and welcome in spring with a spritz, because the crew at Customs House are back with their seasonal spring rosé pop-up bar.

While the igloos have been in residence for winter, come Friday 6 September it will be all about pink-hued cocktails and seafood bites, not to mention the popping of bottles of Château d'Esclans Whispering Angel Rosé amongst al fresco domes adorned in flowing fabric, florals and plenty of greenery. There’ll be more than a few other other sips on offer too of course, including berry cocktails and plenty of bubbles, so those Friday afternoon drinks will be a little bit bougier than usual for the spring.

While you sip, chow down on mac and cheese croquettes, snack on sweet potato empanadas or get a little fancy with a cheese board. Plus, those delicious Moreton Bay bug croissants with lime and dill mayo from last year's pop-up are back, so if you haven’t crunched into one yet, we suggest stopping by.

If that menu doesn't appeal, perhaps you'd prefer to stop by for a French-style high tea. Available Tuesdays and Wednesdays, the rosé-inspired high tea offering will feature savoury canapes, fresh scones, and petit fours paired with a glass of Whispering Angel or tea for $100pp.

For those just keen to stop in for sunset sips, we recommend rounding up a group of four to 10 and booking yourself an exclusive garden dome, with stunning views of the river as you enjoy the breeze. A $20 per person pre-authorisation will score you a dome, and once seated, you can order food and drinks as you like. Book yourself in here
