Get out your diaries—we’ve got some big news for the foodies out there. Alanna Sapwell, ex-head chef of Arc Dining and all-round hospitality superstar, is bringing her pop-up restaurant Esmay to Brisbane in July for Good Food Month.

Sapwell, previously of the now closed Arc Dining at Howard Smith Wharves, will take over the kitchen at the grand old Alliance Hotel in Spring Hill for one day only, and we can hardly wait. While Sapwell has been touring the country with her incredibly successful pop-up restaurant (this will be the fifth location she takes over), it’s the first time she’s brought it to Brisbane, so you should definitely be excited.

Happening on Sunday 25 July, there will be two sittings for lunch and two sittings for dinner available, all in the surroundings of The Alliance Hotel’s old world pub vibes. On offer will be Sapwell’s signature comfort-style cooking, heroing seasonal and regional ingredients with an innovative twist.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday 27 May at 9am, and are bound to go quick. So, if dining at a pop-up by one of the country’s most exciting chefs sounds like your kind of jam, head to the Good Food Month website to book for lunch or dinner
