Regional Flavours Is Taking Over South Bank For The Ultimate Foodie Weekend

By

Forget music festivals, we’re more excited that Regional Flavours is coming back to the South Bank Parklands—and this year, it's free. On Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 May you’ll want to have your stretchiest pants on because the return of Regional Flavours will offer up an extensive list of market stalls highlighting Australia's best local producers of food, wine, and everything in between.

This food nirvana has been gracing the parklands for over 11 years and this year is no different with the festival returning with the theme of 'The Ultimate Grazing Table'. This year, entry to Regional Flavours won't cost you a single cent so foodies will have to get bums on seats early to avoid missing the live demonstrations and cooking masterclasses on show across the weekend.

The festival will have three stages hosting demonstrations, discussions and live music and DJs in action over the weekend, while the market stalls this year will include a selection of farmers, graziers, growers, winemakers, brewers, and distillers from around Australia (many of whom have been affected by the pandemic and the floods, so you can eat and drink easy knowing you're supporting a local producer doing it tough).

The festival has also name-dropped the likes of Masterchef alumni Khanh Ong and Georgia Barnes as well as celebrity chefs Miguel Maestre, Alistair McLeod, and Peter Kuruvita to appear during multiple live cooking demonstrations. The only question left to ask is what you'll sample first?
