We don’t know if you’ve noticed, but Brisbane loves gin. There’s not much that gets a Brissie local more excited than the chance to drink gin and celebrate drinking said gin among others who love the spirit as much as they do.
Luckily, there is one annual gin festival that we can always rely on to introduce us to all the best gins of the year, and that is of course Covent Garden’s Ginuary and their iconic Hottest 100 countdown of Aussie gins. Luckily for us, the festival is returning in 2024, once again taking over Howard Smith Wharves on Sunday 28 January, and promises more gin than ever before.
With HSW's Rivershed being transformed into a gin tasting hall ined with 16 different tasting stations to give you the opportunity to sip on some new potential favourites. Of course the Ginuary Festival is not complete without their annual countdown of the Hottest 100 Aussie gins of the year, voted by your fellow gin-loving peers from a pool of what is this year over 750 nominees.
This year the festival will be split over two sessions to reduce the crowds, an afternoon sesh from 12pm-3pm and and evening one from 4pm-7pm. Tickets start at $59pp for access to the tasting stations and a G&T on arrival. You can find out all the details and get tickets here.
