Soon you can make a pitstop to Italy with no passport needed because a brand-new luxury precinct is coming to the heart of Newstead, embracing la dolce vita.

Little Italy is a vibrant dining and retail mecca inspired by Italian architecture and style that will be primely positioned on Longland Street. From the visionary Panettiere Developments (whose Italian heritage will influence the precinct), the 7,440 square metre site will boast three residential towers—including Newstead’s tallest tower ORO soaring at 31 storeys high.

The street-level of the $1.5 billion landmark development is set to be pulled straight from a Federico Fellini masterpiece, with a cobblestoned piazza that features Italian-inspired dining, shopping and wellness venues. It strikes the perfect balance between European charm and Newstead’s signature lifestyle, making for a pedestrian-friendly experience we can’t wait to frequent on the regular.

For those who’ll call Little Italy home, the precinct’s centrepiece tower ORO will house a luxurious residential wellness club sprawled across multiple levels 22 floors high. There’ll be a fully equipped gym, dedicated Pilates and yoga studios, a heated rooftop pool with panoramic city views, and an indoor heated pool with hot and cold plunge zones, sauna, steam and salt therapy rooms—aka everything you need to live your absolute best life. Residents will also enjoy access to private dining rooms, lounges, co-working spaces, and an exclusive guest suite.

Little Italy is one of many projects set to redefine Brisbane’s inner-city landscape in the lead up to the 2032 Olympic Games. Nearby will be the $1.5 billion Teneriffe Banks, which is slated to be Queensland’s largest residential wellness offering, while over in Hamilton a new luxury precinct inspired by Los Angeles’ The Grove is taking shape.

“Through each design touchpoint, our aspiration is to honour Newstead’s traditional Italian influence and our Panettiere family history, bringing our own version of la dolce vita to Brisbane’s thriving inner north community,” Panettiere Developments Director, Max Panettiere said. “What excites me most is the opportunity to continue our construction legacy by creating a space that merges premium architecture, state-of-the-art facilities and elevated liveability with neighbourhood authenticity and connection.”
