Seeing Lorde live isn’t just going to a concert; it’s a full-body, melodramatic, and emotional experience. You’ll leave hoarse, slightly undone, and wondering how a single lyric managed to read your diary. It’s all going down in Brisbane this week, as she finally brings her Ultrasound World Tour to our humble River City on Monday 16 February.

Whether you’re a Pure Heroine tragic, a Melodrama devotee, firmly in your Solar Power era, or a Lorde Virgin, here’s your complete guide on what to expect when Lorde touches down at Brisbane Entertainment Centre for the sold-out show:

Lorde On Tour: Why This One Matters

This tour lands Lorde in a fascinating moment of her career: reflective, confident and creatively unfiltered. Known for crafting shows that feel both intimate and cinematic, Lorde’s live performances balance stripped-back vulnerability with euphoric, scream-it-with-your-best-friend peaks.

For Australian and New Zealand fans, this run feels especially significant. Lorde doesn’t tour lightly, and when she does, it’s deliberate—a carefully curated night that rewards longtime listeners and first-timers alike. Expect emotion, connection and a crowd that knows every word.

What We Know So Far About The Australia And NZ Shows

Here’s what’s been confirmed (and what’s been teased) ahead of the tour’s arrival down under:

  • The Ultrasound World Tour supports Lorde’s current Virgin era
  • Shows will take place across major cities in Australia and New Zealand (Auckland, Christchurch, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth)
  • Expect arena-sized venues, with production designed to still feel personal
  • Visuals and staging are likely to lean minimalist but powerful. Lorde has a habit of letting the music (and the crowd) do the heavy lifting
  • American rapper and singer Kevin Abstract has been announced as the supporting act for the Australian and New Zealand leg.

What Will The Setlist Look Like?

While setlists can (and do) change city to city, Lorde’s tours are known for thoughtful pacing and emotional storytelling. Based on previous tours, you can expect:

  • Big-hitters like “Royals,” “Green Light,” “Ribs,” and “Team”
  • A strong showing of newer material woven seamlessly through the night
  • Quiet, stripped-back moments that feel almost sacred
  • An encore that delivers at least one full-throttle, lose-your-voice moment

Lorde typically plays a 90-minute set, striking a balance between new-era tracks and early-career favourites. Setlists may vary but the emotional arc is always intentional. If you’re not worried about spoilers, check out this Spotify playlist:

What Time Will Lorde Hit The Stage?

Exact timings will be sent out to the registered ticket holder with Ticketek 24 hours before the show start time. We’ll update then, but if the New Zealand performance is anything to go by, you can expect:

  • Doors: 7pm
  • Kevin Abstract: 7:50pm
  • Lorde: 9pm

How To Get There (And Home Again)

The easiest way to get to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre is from Boondall Station on the Shorncliffe line. From there, it’s around a 600m walk to the Centre which can often be a vibe with your fellow fans.

If you prefer to drive, parking at Brisbane Entertainment Centre is $18 per visit (card only) so car pooling is recommended. Be warned though, exiting the car park after the show is quite the waiting game so bringing snacks won’t go astray.

Pro tip: leaving just before the final encore can save you serious time if you’re not emotionally attached to the last song.

What To Wear And What To Bring

Brisbane Entertainment Centre is an indoor venue so Brisbane’s torrential weather at the moment shouldn’t put a damper on your experience. If you want to bring an umbrella for the commute, just make sure it’s no larger than 300mm when in the closed position.

Style-wise? Wear whatever makes you feel like you. Lorde crowds are famously unpretentious.

Insider Intel:

  • Lorde often starts slightly later than the listed main act time
  • Merch lines peak before the show and key sizes can sell out fast
  • Crowds are deeply engaged, especially during stripped-back songs
  • Expect big singalongs and moments so quiet you could hear a pin drop
