Forget Hallmark (though we do love a cheesy Christmas romance), we all know that the real OG cult favourite holiday movie is Love Actually. But if you want to shake things up this year instead of just rewatching the classic flick on your couch with your friend/partner/cat, we’ve got just the event for you.
Following sold-out tours in the UK, Love Actually in Concert will be making its Australian debut this December, just in time for Christmas. What does ‘in concert’ mean? It means a full, live orchestra will perform the hit soundtrack while the film is projected onto a huge screen.
So grab the fruit mince pies and prepare to get into the holiday spirit, because on 12 December, Brisbane will be treated to intertwining tales of festive romance starring a few of our favourite British actors, with plenty of eye candy provided by Hugh Grant and Keira Knightly, as always.
Thanks to the full orchestra, we can guarantee that you’ll be belting out ‘Christmas is all around me…’ at the top of your lungs as you experience some major nostalgia and heartwarming feels. Tickets go on pre-sale on 23 September, and you can sign up to be the first in line to get yours here.
When: Thursday 12 December, 7.30pm
Where: Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, South Brisbane
