Had enough of drive-ins yet? Yeah us too—which is why we're stoked to hear that Moonlight Cinema is heading back to town this year, cranking up their projectors for a summer of movies under the stars.

Taking over The Amphitheatre at Roma Street Parklands from November, you can bet the outdoor cinema will be serving up some absolute cracker blockbusters and short films, with retro classics like Pulp Fiction and Moulin Rouge, superhero epics like Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians Of The Galaxy, and newer flicks like Tenet, Honest Thief and Trolls World Tour all on the bill.

In the week leading up to Christmas, you can also catch a line up of festive classics, including Love Actually, Elf, Home Alone and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Love Actually under the stars, drink in hand? Sounds like a merry Christmas to us.

As usual, you'll be able to unroll a picnic blanket and throw down a few pillows to relax on with your mates, or go VIP and opt for one of the plush bean bags. If you can't be bothered packing your own picnic to bring along, there'll be onsite food trucks dishing up tasty eats and a licensed bar for cheeky drinks.

Of course, there'll be a few differences this year—like social distancing measures, extra hygiene facilities and a doubling down on cleaning practices—but you can be sure the Moonlight Cinema team will making sure the experience is as safe as can be.
