Norman Hotel Is Coming To The Northside With A Spanish-Inspired Multi-Level Venue In The Works

You know it as ‘Brisbane’s Worst Vegetarian Restaurant’ and now the iconic Norman Hotel is bringing their flame-grilled premium steaks to a new venue on the northside.

Having already built a loyal following that flock to their home base in Woolloongabba, the second spot is a long time coming. "With so many of our guests coming from the northside, it felt like the right time to bring the Norman experience closer to them,” the team said. “Judging by the interest already coming through our social media channels and website, the appetite is definitely there."

So, where can you find Norman Northside? On the corner of Wardell Street and Samford Road in Enogerra—the leafy hub turned booming location. "[It’s] a high-profile location that ticks every box: easy access, strong community, and visibility. Enoggera gives us a genuine neighbourhood base, close to local schools, sporting clubs and businesses, with parking that works for families and groups."

The three-storey, purpose-built pub teems with Spanish influence—think timbers, arches and stone anchored by an open grill. With seating for 400, you can expect three private dining rooms on the mezzanine and a relaxed edge to the space. Plus, for those balmy summer afternoons, there will be a landscaped beer garden just like the original Norman Hotel.

The new Norman Northside will focus on community, conversation and great food. Staying true to themselves, guests can expect all the Norman favourites like flame-grilled premium steaks and open-grill theatre with meat prepared by their on-site butchers. On the side, you’ll find all the pub classics and a tight range of non-steak dishes at approachable price points.

Of course, what pub is complete without a cold brew beside you? Norman Northside will have a rotating selection of local brews on tap, accompanied by a cocktail list featuring all the favourites and a few smoky twists thrown in. Prefer vino? There will be a curated wine list built to accompany steak, featuring bold Australian reds alongside crisp whites.

Mirroring the Woolloongabba venue, the new Norman will also offer memorable experiences like their popular cooking classes and annual 1kg challenge. Targeted for a late 2026 opening, it’s sure to be worth the wait and a welcome addition to Enoggera whether it’s for a quick drink in the evening, special occasion dinners or a wholesome feed on a weeknight. “Like at Woolloongabba, there won’t be live bands—the focus is on conversation, hospitality, and the food itself.”
