It’s not every day you get the chance to be part of history, but Brisbane—we’ve been called to attention.

The globally iconic spectacle that is The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is leaving its post at Edinburgh Castle to exclusively bring their goosebump-inducing performance to Suncorp Stadium. This means more than 1,000 dancers, drummers and pipers from 13 countries will descend on our humble River City, to celebrate the event’s 75th anniversary across four incredible nights.

What Is The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo?

Here’s a quick history lesson: First staged in 1950, the Tattoo showcases Scottish military tradition in a full-scale production that’s thunderous, cinematic and deeply emotional. It’s easily one of the world’s most recognised live events, with almost 230,000 visitors flocking annually to Edinburgh Castle where the performance is historically held—and that doesn’t even include the 100 million+ who tune into the broadcast. Simply put, it’s epic.
