Great news for all you travel-hungry Queenslanders, the Australian and Tasmanian government has today announced a new Tassie Holiday Voucher program that could see you score $300 off your next trip.

There are 10,000 $300 vouchers up for grabs to be used on travel throughout this November and December, with $200 for accommodation and $100 for attractions or tours.

It’s available to all Queensland residents, as well as anyone in Western Australia and South Australia, and has been created to help ease the drop in tourism from New South Wales and Victoria due to all those ongoing border restrictions.

As part of this incentive, you’ll also notice there are more direct flights taking off from this November to make it even easier to book that Tassie trip you've been dreaming of.

So how can you snag one of these $300 vouchers? They’ll be issued via an online ballot. If successful, you'll be able to book and redeem the voucher through a dedicated online marketplace. Sounds simple enough, right?

More info on the new Tassie Holiday Voucher program can be found on the Tourism Tasmania website.
