Wolf

Ever heard that old parable about everyone having two wolves inside them? Well Brisbane-based circus company Circa is letting those wolves loose in their latest acrobatic thrill ride Wolf, coming to QPAC this November. Circa Artistic Director Yaron Lifschitz explores the wolf as a symbol of our untamable selves: liberated, anarchic and savage. You’ll be lost for words as the cast of ten extraordinary Circa artists grasp, tear, climb, leap and balance with fierce abandon—testing the limits of human capabilities right in front of your eyes. The Playhouse provides an intimate and captivating setting to showcase the performances' acrobatic intensity, following Wolf’s record-breaking run at Berlin’s Chamäleon Theatre and stint at Edinburgh Fringe. “It is about the primal and the raw, but there’s a duality to this; the way the pack is unified is powerful and empowering, but it’s also threatening, and circus is the perfect vehicle to explore this,” Lifschitz says. A Few Good Men

You know the movie—now watch the play it was based on, which dominated Broadway back in 1989. A thrilling story inspired by the events at Guantanamo Bay in 1986, A Few Good Men follows the death of a US marine and the conspiracies that follow, shedding a light on the toxic internal culture of the United States military. Donned by the New York Daily News as a ‘Enormously Entertaining’, this thrilling tale of justice, power, and accountability is a powerful addition to Brisbane's theatre scene—and it goes without saying, a must watch.
