After the year that was 2020, stage shows are beginning to find their way back onto the Brisbane cultural scene, including the hilarious Titanic: The Movie, The Play, which is heading back to Brisbane for another run. Part tribute, part parody of everyone’s favourite 90s movie romance, Titanic: The Movie, The Play is adding a bold and witty twist to the tale that we know and love.

Following the story of Jack, Rose and of course, the boat, the story will take some interesting and well…unexpected turns. Condensed from the three-hour movie into just 70 minutes, the show will turn tragedy into humor by remaking the movie's best moments using a replica Titanic prow and lifeboats—and of course, not everyone will survive.

Titanic: The Movie, The Play will be presented by Act React, a Brisbane Comedy Company, who are known for their comedic takes on popular movies, so we know that the show is bound to be an immersive experience that will have the audience involved from start to finish.

Showing at the Brisbane Powerhouse, tickets are $39 and they’re selling fast. But with shows from 19 August to 12 September there are plenty of times to choose from and bookings can be made on the Brisbane Powerhouse website. Pop on your life jacket and book your tickets now.
