Just when you think the Howard Smith Wharves precinct couldn’t get any more delicious… (Seriously, we’ve gained 7kg just reviewing this development. You can read more about it here.)
Well, the secret’s out. Noosa’s cult burger bar, Betty’s Burgers, will be opening their fourth Brisbane store at Howard Smith Wharves tomorrow, which just happens to fall on National Burger Day (well played, Marketing department).
The menu should be pretty much the same as the Noosa Heads HQ restaurant, which means outrageously good burgers (our favourite is the Betty’s Classic with pickles and bacon), plus the usual assortment of concrete shakes and beer-battered onion rings.
Betty’s are also planning something kind of special for the big opening day. They’re hosting a dinner party on top of the iconic Brisbane Story Bridge for 30 lucky guests. Yep, they’ve teamed up with the crew from Story Bridge Adventure Climb and built a retro lounge up there, so you can chill and eat burgers and watch the sun set over the CBD. Not too shabby, but you’ll have to sign a waver to climb (for legal reasons). You've got till midday Tuesday 27th to enter—head here for all the details.
If you don't get into the sky bar, you'll just have to enjoy your burgers at a more reasonable altitutde.
Betty’s Burgers are opening their doors on Tuesday 28th May. Get around it.
