Precision pours, delicate dishes and elegant tables are some of the hallmarks of Brisbane’s finest Japanese restaurants—and Albion’s newest Izakaya-style kitchen and sake bar is hitting all those high notes.

Taking over the old Adale Wine Bar space, Kizuna boasts a contemporary Japanese dining experience with an impressive collection of spirits—over 100 bottles strong—and a keen focus on sake, curated by Kizuna’s in-house somm, Jenny Wang.

The menu is similar to your typical Japanese Izakaya haunt—small bites primed for sharing. At Kizuna however, they're doing it with a touch of elegance. They're dishing up plates like premium Japanese scallop sashimi, lightly seared Wagyu beef tataki, skewers and momo yakitori hot off the binchotan grill, softshell crab with spicy sesame soy sauce and signature dishes like their miso grilled salmon with pickled bamboo shoots and asparagus.

If you time your visit right, on Tuesdays to Thursdays from 4-5pm, you can indulge in the somm's weekly pick alongside $6 bargin bites.
