By Isabel Croker

We’ve got some beer-y good news for all you Gold Coast brews lovers that is sure to quench your thirst for a good time.

The beloved Crafted Beer Festival is returning to the Gold Coast in 2023; the iconic beer celebration will be held over two massive days at the beachside precinct of Broadbeach’s Kurrawa Park on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 September. They've announced their entertainment, food and drinks lineup and we can confirm it's absolutely lager-than-life.

Turning seven years old—and more than ready to celebrate it—the beer extravaganza is bringing together over 50 brewers from the most loved breweries around Australia and more than 400 individual brews, as a whirlwind celebration of craft beer, creativity and quality. There will also be a range of festival exclusives and limited release flavours, so you’ll be one of the first to get your lips around these frothies.

Crafted is celebrating the return of festival faves such as B.O.B, Precinct Brewing, Balter Brewing and Hard FIZZ, as well as weloming some crafty newcomers such as Terella Brewing from the Sunshine Coast and Hound & Stag Brewing in Arundel. Not a fan of beer? Granddad Jack's has you covered with their two-storey vintage cocktail and spirits bar and Carafe Wine will be pouring premium sustainable wines.

Once you’ve got your beer gut in full force, tuck into some of the mouth-watering bites from local foodies, such as truffle gnocchi from Bigoli Italian Street Food, bratwurst sausages from Brat Haus, Spanish paella from Samba Catering and many more.

Pair your brews and chews with tunes from two huge stages, showcasing an array of local and Australian acts. Playing us through to last swigs on Saturday will be sweaty Sydney rock band Polish Club, with a swag of Brissie-bands spread throughout the day. Keep the good vibes going on Sunday with tunes from electro-world music act, Tijuana Cartel, Byron-based indie rockers, The Colliflowers and many more yet-to-be-announced acts.

Could you ask for more than Australia's finest beers and a sunshine-filled day on one of the Gold Coast's most idyllic beachfront locations? Well, the team from Crafted have not finished yet. Beer Yoga is coming back and the game that brings out the competitive streak in even the most refined craft lovers, Cycho's Hot Wing Eating Competition will turn up the heat.

Crafted Beer Festival has sold out for the past three years, so be sure to snag your tickets schooner rather than later.

While you wait to quench your thirst, here are the some of the best craft breweries to hit around the Gold Coast.
