Crafted Beer and Cider Festival

If you, like us, love nothing more than downing a cold one in the gorgeous GC sunshine then gee whiz do we have some good news for you. After last year’s success the Crafted Beer & Cider Festival is returning to our sandy shores and we’re seriously pumped.

For those who missed out on 2017s extravaganza—we feel bad for you tbh—let us break it down for you. The one-day festival, held in Broadbeach, is a true celebration of that glorious amber liquid gold with a whopping 35 breweries on site…that’s over 150 beers people!

Loads of your local faves will be there including Balter Brewing Company, Black Hops Brewing, Burleigh Brewing Co and Lost Palms Brewing Co. That’s right, all of your faves in one handy location. Is this the world’s easiest pub crawl or what? Even better, there’s 12 interstate beer-istas coming along as well as the New Belgium brewery joining us from the US.

Not into beer? No worries, there’s also a range of thirst-quenching ciders on offer including Childers-based Cheeky Tiki Apple Cider and Granite Belt Cider Co. from Warwick.

And of course, no good brew can be enjoyed without some quality tucker, right? They’ve got you sorted there too with food trucks aplenty, serving up everything from pulled pork tacos and arancini balls to moreish doughnuts—drool.

To keep the good vibes going there will be live music cranking all day long with sets from Canberra’s Young Monks, Brisbane’s Inigo, GC local San Mei and Sydney punk-pop quartet RACKETT.

We seriously can’t wait for this one! And while October might seem a while away, for now, you can condition your beer-swigging arm and liver at our various craft beer bars and breweries, in preparation for when the Crafted festival hits our shores. And don’t worry, the fact that the year is nearly halfway over (WTAF?) ‘cause this means it’ll be here before you know it.

Cheers for beers (and cider)!
