There are beautiful beaches located just a short distance from the CBD with excellent surf, top-tier cafes and beachfront restaurants such as Cottesloe, City Beach or Scarborough. Or you can jump into holiday mode for a day with a trip to Rottnest Island, home of the happiest creatures on earth, the quokka.

If you're sick of being soggy thanks to everyone's worst best friend La Niña, you'll be happy to know that Perth is one of the sunniest capital cities in the world, averaging eight hours of sunshine per day all year round. This guarantees extended time to have plenty of fun in the sun. It’s ideal weather for exploring Kings Park and Botanic Gardens—one of the world's largest city parklands, even beating New York’s Central Park.
