Following an extended season in the US, the closest thing to taking a walk in Jurassic Park has arrived in Melbourne at Dinos Alive, an immersive exhibition featuring 80+ life-sized, animated dinosaurs.

Dinos Alive is an all ages exhibition, allowing young and old to get up close and personal with one-to-on replicas of our prehistoric friends. Your usual suspects—like t-rex, a pack of velociraptors, and the stegosaurus—will be in attendance as well with lesser-known dinos like the ankylosaurus, too.

Along with rex and co, the all-ages exhibition features a VR experience exploring the depths of the oceans along with the creatures that call it home during the Jurassic period.

The experience runs for around 75 minutes, taking the brave through the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. And for the little ones? A“Budding Experts” interactive space gives kids the opportunity to become palaeontologists for the day and tame the most iconic dinosaurs,
