Bring Treats, Chapel Street Is The Pet-Friendly Shopping Precinct In Melbourne’s South

By

If you wish you could take your furry pal everywhere around Melbs, get ready for some amazing news.

It's been around for more than a minute but the  Chapel Street Precinct permanently rolled out the red carpet for pet owners and their furry friends, making it the first major shopping precinct in all of Australia to welcome our lil fluff balls into selected shops, gyms, banks, salons and eateries.

Chapel Street Precinct businesses now showcase a special Paw-on-the-Door window decal to show it’s ok to come in with your four-legged buddies. You can even head here for a full directory of pet-friendly businesses on a digital map. (And if you’re from out of town, there’s even a super cool dog-friendly hotel.)

While Australian health regulations prevent animals from entering supermarkets and being within 10 metres of food consumption or preparation areas, many Chapel Street Precinct eateries have created dog-friendly spaces specifically to comply with these regulations.

The pet-friendliness doesn’t stop at cafes and restaurants though. If you’re hungry for fashion, beauty and everything in-between, bring your furry pal and indulge in a full day of shopping and pampering without the sad puppy eyes.

And if you're looking for the best food and treats for your doggo friend, look no further than The Pet Grocer in South Melbourne.
