As part of MPavilion’s comprehensive season, the long-running cultural festival is resurrecting Melbourne’s much-loved Rooftop Cinema for a very limited season.
It will, however, look a little different this year. Firstly, you won’t be heading up the six lengthy sets of stairs within the guts of Curtain House—you’ll instead be sat within the strangely iconic parking block at 37 Collins Street. Good news for Melbourne’s unpredictable weather, and a great way to experience cinema in completely new surroundings.
The screenings are free, and consist of classics and new releases such as Edward Scissor Hands, local flicks Babyteeth and Rams, and Cléo from 5 to 7.
Some sessions are already exhausted, so you’ll want to nab up the remaining seats stat. You can check out the MPavilion x Rooftop Cinema line up, as well as other events from comprehensive program, here.
