Those wanting to go full throttle on the fromage this winter are in for a two-day treat with the announcement of The Collection, a two-day celebration of all things cheese backed by the folk at That’s Amore.
On the bill are 65 cheeses, in which you’ll get to try each and every one of them. Expect everything from burrata, to blues and washed rinds, right across to your old faithful white moulds and several very special truffle-infused cheeses.
Those wishing to take a deep dive can take one—or several—of the many masterclasses happening across the 48 hours. Headlining is cheese scene royalty Anthony Femia of Maker & Monger who’ll be leading a class on what makes (and what doesn't make) a great cheese platter. Alongside him will be cheesemaker Helen Ritchie, wine judge Anthony Nania and That’s Amore Cheese founder Giorgio Linguanti giving you the inside scoop on all things cheese.
General admission will set you back $35 ($30 for the early birds), which will get you all 65 tastings along with a beer or wine and one cannoli to sweeten the deal. Each masterclass comes in at $70 which includes general admission—take a look at the full program and book your tickets for either Saturday 21 August or Sunday 22 August here.
That’s not the only cheese festival happening about town. Check out Mould, too.
