After what has seemed like an eon, the highly anticipated Stokehouse Precinct has finally opened just as summer has hit and the beach is calling to us.
From the 9th of October, the transformed restaurant precinct will be fully-functional, with fish 'n' chips kiosk Paperfish, and casual grill and eatery Pontoon forming two of three venues within the environmentally-conscious building.
Stokehouse Restaurant will make up the last third of the precinct, with Young Chef of the Year 2015 Ollie Hansford, of Stokehouse City, at the helm. The long-awaited venue will have the same Stokehouse feel of old, with a 12.5 metre oval bar, a lounge area, and a terrace to sit by the beach. With the entire ground floor buried under a sand dune, this new venue will definintely make for interesting dining, accomodating up to 130 guests for lunch and dinner, and another 120 in the bar and lounge area.
Open every day of the year (except Christmas Day), the all-day bar menu will keep the laid-back charm the name is known for. But make sure to call in and book quickly, because a LOT of us are going to be fighting for a seat come the launch in December.
With more info coming soon, make sure to watch this space for the latest in the upcoming Stokehouse launch.
