Hylin

‘Coffee, chow and cheer’—the groovy lettering on the back wall of Hylin describes the West Leedy cafe and bar in a nutshell. By day, you’ll find some of the best coffee in Perth alongside an all-day brekky and lunch menu that swings from comfort classics to left-of-centre cult favourites. We’ll always return for the buttermilk-fried chook croissant or the cinnamon-doughnut French toast of Instagram fame.
Rolling in is easy thanks to the step-free undercover outdoor area, while inside you’ll find colour-contrasted surfaces that make navigating the space a little easier. When the sun goes down, Hylin’s Back Bar takes over with cocktails, wine, craft beer and nightly bargain meals, including the famous $12 parmis.

Murray Mews

Breakfast, lunch, dinner, potent coffee, fresh juice and cocktails... what can’t Murray Mews do?! Hidden in a charming heritage that’s lived quite a few lives over the past century, it’s one of Murray Street’s most underrated all-day hang spots.
There’s a small step at the main entrance or a nearby step-free option with wide doors, but once inside, Murray Mews serves up deliciousness from dawn ‘til dusk. Pop in for an easy-going coffee catch, a quick-but-satisfying lunch with your colleagues, or a date-night dinner after dark.

Brewdog

You’d be barking mad not to love Brewdog. The 600-capacity brewpub has had tails wagging since it opened in early 2024, dishing up top-tier pub grub (think tacos, wings, burgers, pizzas—the lot) alongside the real stars of the show: highly quaffable craft beers, with taps pouring fresh brews seven days a week.
The main entrance has wide double doors for easy access, while a secondary entry includes a few easy steps with handrails. Inside, the multi-level layout means plenty of choice when it comes to seating, with outdoor areas stretching from the street to the rooftop. The gender-neutral accessible bathroom is thoughtfully fitted with grab rails, braille signage and automatic lighting.

Bright Tank Brewing Co.
100 Brown Street, East Perth, WA 6004
Polished steel tanks, a sun-drenched courtyard and seriously good sips, Bright Tank is the industrial-chic inner-city brewery pouring some of our all-time favourite brews. There’s plenty of room to stroll, roll and settle in, with easy-to-navigate indoor spaces, a step-free outdoor area, table service and gender-neutral wheelchair accessible bathroom.
Behind the bar, nine rotating taps keep things fresh, from the no-fuss Justa Lager to the more playful Chase The Rainbow Fruited Sour. Pair your pint with shareable small plates and woodfired proteins from the adjoining Brown Street Grill. Kitchen king Stuart Laws (the chef responsible for the outstanding steaks at Fallow) is behind the pass, so you know the food is going to be on par.

Sauma

Ten years in, and Sauma still draws in swarms of spice-chasers to its warm, welcoming William Street haunt. The menu is all about sharing: pani puri shots, wagyu samosas, twice-cooked lamb ribs, smoky chicken tikka, and rich slow-simmered curries. Don’t skip the goat curry—it’s the stuff that ruins other curries for life. Fluffy, buttery naan is also non-negotiable.
The main entrance includes a couple of steps, but a step-free side entry is just metres away. Inside, a gender-neutral accessible bathroom and leafy courtyard make it an easy choice for both cosy date nights and group feasts.

A police station for the better half of the 20th century, 1 Mends Street hung up the blue uniform in favour of great food, flowing drinks and a whole lot more fun, at Ludo.
Downstairs, the mood shifts at the dimly-lit Ludo, the basement bistro turning out polished, French-leaning plates that feel a little more date-night than day-drinks. There’s also on-street ACROD parking just around the corner, plus easy-reading menus to keep things simple once you’re in.

The Beaufort And Lotus

Highgate’s hotspot for big nights and bold flavours, The Beaufort’s multi-level, multi-bar, multi-terrace precinct is a choose-your-own-adventure kind of venue for the party people of Perth. Here, you’ll find a polished pub with elevated pub grub and varied seating options across well-lit tables, making it easy to choose your perfect spot, but the real star of the show is Lotus.
Spread out across two levels and fully accessible via lift, this South East Asian gem is helmed by superstar chef Sundoo Kim, who plates up with playful, punchy dishes. Long-term fan favourites include the charred broccoli with moreish house satay, spicy rendang curry and crispy corn fritters drizzled in kimchi caramel.

The open kitchen gives you a front row seat to the chefs in action, whipping up pasta that’ll make you swoon, bread you’ll battle over, and antipasto made with pure amore. The creamy vodka rigatoni is the ultimate comfort hit, while the porchetta should be your go-to when you’re craving something deeply savoury.

Oof, feel that heat?! Named after the Noongar word for "campfire," Karla brings coals, flames, and flavours from Asia straight to Stories. The fearless chefs are proper pyrotechnicians, turning every dish into a smoky, sizzling spectacle from the open kitchen.
Ever tried crocodile tail? Or what about kangaroo tartare? Thanks to a strong Aussie influence, these wild bites sit alongside hibachi-grilled skewers, rich curries and share-style plates that blaze with flavour. And yes, you can strut in in heels or wheels: ramps, lift access, and wide pathways mean everyone gets to be up close and personal with the flames.

This one’s no stranger to your Instagram feed. Bottomless sessions, colourful mosaic tiles, Middle Eastern-inspired dishes stacked to the skies and elaborate cocktails? Yep, that’s Ugly Baby.
Start small and sweet with pillowy flatbread topped with whipped ricotta, harissa and honey, before crawling down the menu to the lamb merguez sausage, charcoal chicken, shawarma-spiced rice-eye and the huge mixed shish plate. Vegos aren’t left out, either, with an ever-changing tagine and standout Brussels sprouts. Step in via the main entrance or take the lift—step‑free access and wide pathways make it oh-so easy.

The menu is made for messy hands-on eating, loaded with saucy tacos, birria short rib dripping with consommé, corn ribs dusted in tajín and churros dunked in dulce de leche. It’s loud, it’s fun, and everything lands with a punch.
