A Lush New Bodhi Spa Has Opened In Yallingup

By Cassandra Charlick

Bodhi is no newcomer to the West Aussie day spa scene. If you’ve been lucky enough to enter one of their four cocoons of bliss throughout the Perth metro area, you’ll know that they offer some of the best treatments in town.

However, what about when you want a touch of wellness and indulgence further from home? After all, holidays provide the perfect opportunity to really relax and indulge in a wellness retreat. If you’ve booked a down south escape this summer then you are in luck: Yallingup is the newest spa location for the Bodhi wellness empire.

Bodhi in Yallingup

We popped in to test out the new facilities and it’s safe to say that this spa is the stuff that dreams are made of. Literally—we challenge you not to drift off into the land of nod during one of the uber-relaxing treatments or in the post-treatment relax lounge.

The custom designed building is thoughtful in design and encapsulates serenity, nestled on the edge of the bush-framed Lake Gunyalup. Bright and airy with natural furnishings, curved walls, and sage green accents, it’s as stylish as it is functional. Normally one to struggle with more than a few minutes in a bath before I get bored, I drifted in and out of sleep during the half hour spa bath. A glass of sparkling wine certainly helped with the relaxation.

Inside Bodhi's Yallingup spa

After a blissful thirty minutes enveloped in bubbles, it’s off to one of the five couples' treatment rooms for a massage and Hydrate Renewal Facial. Following an hour and a half of massaging, exfoliating, cleansing, moisturising, plumping and firming with Sodashi products I’m certainly feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Wrapt up in a cloud-like robe, I’m bundled out to the relaxation lounge and deck to linger as long as I wish with a cup of tea and fresh fruit. It’s tempting to stay all day sipping tea and gazing over the peaceful water’s edge, however all good things must come to an end. For today at least—this certainly won’t be the last time I visit Bodhi Yallingup, but I’ll have to book ahead—it’s already proving popular with locals and visitors alike. Get in quick.
